Hey guys,
TLDR - I think most of you are already aware of the situation, however for those who arent - we have decided to make the move to another guild, with whom we can raid for the time being.
We discussed this at length and unfortunately we dont see another option for our current situation. I do think that we've done tremendously well so far, all things considered. Even with our late start of the tier and with the incomplete roster, we still managed to kill any boss that could be killed and that in a swift fashion. This is a testement to how we've done things thus far and the bad state of the game shouldnt be a reflection on any of us.
In recent weeks we saw a number of key players quit the game, which is a symptom of a larger WoW-problem that the entire communnitty faces. WoW is in that dead-period between expansions where people are leaving by droves, which critically affects our recruitment. Consequently, we are left with two options:
1) Take a break until Legion and reconvene once it draws closer so we can rebuild the team in a more recruitment-haelthy environment; or
2) Join another guild to raid with for the time being and take it from there.
For those who would like to take a break, i think it is fair enough and we will be more than happy to see them back in Legion; and for those who would still like to see Mythic content, be it with another guild, we've found a suitable guild to raid with - The Royal Army
They are currently 2/13 Mythic (so they are early in their progession as well) and they can work most of us into their roster. Their ethos appears to be very close to ours and raiding-wise, they appear to maintain a very positive and focused environment. They have 15ish Mythic ready raiders on their own and they are currently raiding with another guild, who brings 6-7 more raiders for their raids. With us on board, that will bring the total roster to 26-27 players, which i think is ideal for proper Mythic progression.
Now, of course that would mean that some sort of rotation will be in place, however i think it is clear for everyone that a Mythic raiding spot needs to be earned, not granted. We talked with them and agreed that raiding spots will be awarded purely on merit, so everyone will have equal chance to raid. They still have Heroic farm runs, which allows for everyone to raid, while only those who are Mythic-ready will be taken for Mythic progression.
Their Raiding Times are: 8:00 - 23:00 Server time on Wednesday; Thursday and Sunday.
